"I think some, not all of our patients, think that what we do is easy. To clarify, sometimes we do have to confront people about things that are uncomfortable for us - pain medication, maybe people who aren't taking their hydroxyurea therapy as evidenced by a decreasing MCV - and those aren't easy conversations.
